Here's the really good news.
The cost of each hat is $9.
After reimbursing our generous vendors
for their costs and handling, all
$6 will be given to the Compassion Closet, a cooperative ministry of
Belvidere's St. James Roman Catholic Church and Our Family of Faith on the
Corner of Lincoln and Main, to feed the hungry.
Just last week, we gave out nearly 50
food boxes at $25 a box.
Do the math!
Parenthetically, we don't do
"pastor math" on the corner of Lincoln and Main. We don't
multiply each box by 5 to say we served... Nah! We ain't
posers! We don't use this ministry to recruit members. We don't
advertise obedience to Matthew 25. We don't seek any regard, reward,
response, or even a few lines in local rags. We just want to serve.
The folks in charge and working on/in our CC are all humble servants without
any need for stroking, atta
boys/girls, and
other egotistical/narcissistic needs masquerading as love.
So this inspiration/indigestion - You be
the judge as some like to be! - arrived and we're going for it/Him!
