@#$%

If you've got a problem with your watch, don't look at the hands.

    Look deeper!

Do you really think revelations about the former VP and probable DNC P candidate for 2020 and his inaugural accuser being a Bernie/Beto supporter are just coincidental?

Do you think the piling on has nothing to do with the lunatics on the left supported by supplications from the right not wanting the great white dope to get the nomination and possible new address?

If you do, you probably think Congresswoman Omar loves Jews and only spews anti-semitic hate when someone jokes about her babushka.

Of course, watching those videos of the handsy VP are a little, uh, creepy.

Moreover, these are times when guys have to be especially careful when, uh, handling women.

    They are increasingly, uh, touchy.

    You know what I mean.

It's caused me to reconsider my huggy and holy kiss history.

Parenthetically, the holy kiss is an expression of unity and affection noted in Romans 16:16 and 1 Corinthians 16:20.

Apparently, some women can no longer tell the difference between a holy kiss and the other kind.

While I'm not suggesting I know what the VP had/has in mind, I am saying I know what I have in mind when I extend a holy hug and kiss.

Unfortunately, I don't feel I can do that anymore without prior permission.

In other words, I ain't askin' and I ain't touchin' anybody and I mean anybody including...unless asked, told, begged, and...

I've even thought of getting permission slips printed and inserted in...

I'm still psyched about life and ministry and love and holy stuff; pero the Matthew 10:16 in me has prompted this change.

Bob, just weeks after Mary H died, you asked Bob L and me to meet for breakfast at the Alameda to discuss what was believed to be an accusation against you from Mary J. We counseled you not to defend yourself but to let the many people at 2nd who loved you do that. You presented your side of the issue and Jim, moved to dismiss her claim. I opposed him because we had then only heard your side of the issue. The congregational affirmed me, and she read a beautiful letter that could never be understood as anything more than her infatuation with you because of your warm, holy kisses. You had done nothing wrong. The congregation did not see it as anything more than her romantic imagination. I related all that to my mother who said that my father, who had also just died, never met to counsel any woman without the church secretary or my mother present.

Good for you to avoid kissing the women leaving church on Sunday morning! Mary H loved it and never inferred more than was intended. Mary J also loved it but inferred much more. Your great smile and intonation are sufficient! Don't let wrong inferences or impure motives thwart the Gospel. Biden is experiencing impure motives from those opposing his mission. Don't let that happen to your mission.

It's been like this in the corporate world since at least the 1980s.
I had a secretary who turned 21. Mac Davis had a song he wrote for his wife when she turned 21. I thought it was a cute song, so I gave her a copy. Next day, I was called into the manager's office. Seems one line of the song was ". . .turned 21 now, you can get frisky with me now."

That was the last time I made that kind of mistake.

Bob,
Most that know me know that I am a hugger. And I also agree with almost all of your “Taking Hint” message. There are times that men (you and I) need to be there for someone, need to show compassion and care for their feelings and needs. I have found that the simple act of opening my arms to receive the hug instead of initiating it will immediately let you know if the woman or man wants that or will just a hand shake or my/your words be what they desire or are comfortable with.
How many times do we question our purpose in this life? Every day. How many times to we interact with people in our church, business, community, etc in this life? Every day. In this ever changing world and 24/7 news cycle that we now live in, never lose your uniqueness and the thing I most know that you bring to the world every day—your care and compassion for people.
Have a truly great day and I personally will expect a hug from you the next time we see each other,

Good move, bro!
I guarantee you that just like ol' Joe, that familiarity will come back to bite you at the worst possible moment.

You know how everyone who works with kids now has to attend special classes? Expand that to the rest of the world. . . only there aren't classes, yet. [Maybe in CA]

It goes along with the utter lack of humor all those outraged folk have.

Think rattlesnake. Approach only with long stick.
