Revival and Reinforcement of the Remnant on the Corner of Lincoln and Main in Belvidere, Illinois

Increasing intimacy with God by grace through faith in Jesus by the book as enlightened by the Holy Spirit who never contradicts Jesus and Holy Scripture is being confirmed by revival and reinforcement of the remnant on the corner of LIncoln and Main in Belvidere, Illinois.

With a renewed for all and reborn for some passion for worship, soul-winning, nurture, and mission, our family of faith is being transformed in a Romans 12 kinda way from a local small "c" church into a regional complement to the capital "C" Church that salts, shines, leavenates, and heavenates to advance the Kingdom and honor Jesus alone in a Romans 1:16-17 kinda way.

A solid core of believers in the first in person worship service in the chapel (7:20 a.m.) complemented by a noticeably growing attendance in the second in person worship service in the sanctuary (9:50 a.m.) along with a slow, steady, and solid increase in online worshippers has prompted our undershepherd to say, "I don't know what's going on but I know Someone is going on because, like the parable of the wheat and tares in Matthew 13, we're experiencing the supernatural blessings of God because our worship is dominated by people from all parts of the region who are being drawn together by the Holy Spirit in a Matthew 18:20 kinda way.  I have never been a part of more meaningful and regenerating worship in my entire life and ministry since we began overcoming the CCP COVID-19 challenge in a Psalm 46 and Romans 8:28 kinda way back in March 2020.  I don't want to get in the way as we are joining together to prepare ourselves as His bride for His return!"

A new children's ministry will soon be announced that will include gospeling, tutoring, and socialization exercises.  Parents keeping their baptismal promises are returning slowly with their children while the growth of our adult educational opportunities is staggering with four classes on Sunday with over 10 in each class and a Tuesday morning Bible study led by our senior pastor Peder Carlson that is growing.

Our Compassion Closet is now distributing over 40 food boxes on Thursdays to the tune of generous support around 40K a year.  What a joyful and consistent crew of Matthew 25 servants!

We're also pleased to announce one of our more recent family members is helping us to remember our global responsibilities with "Build a Dream" that is "breaking the cycle of poverty in El Vaquero, Mexico; bringing Carey Nieuwhof to mind: "Churches that become passionate about people outside their walls will be far more effective than churches that are passionate only about keeping the few people they have inside their walls."  Take a look at Matthew 22, 25, 28, and Acts 1-2 for more context from the Lord on that.

When I asked Wayne, the ministry's visionary, to share the prompting of our Lord for beginning this ministry, he said, "People often ask me how I became involved in Build a Dream.  For me, it started at just responding to a simple request for volunteers to help build a house locally...But God had other plans that soon took me to a remote region of Mexico to build another house...and my eyes were opened to poverty that I could not walk away from.  Jesus taught me to not just love others but to help them as I am able.  Opening my heart to these good people has taught me what the true love of Jesus is about.  Dedicating my heart to Jesus means dedicating my heart and life to helping and loving these good people and their children.  And as Jesus wept, I have shed many tears alone in my comfortable accommodations over the unfairness of having so much while others have to little."

If you would like to contribute to Build a Dream - a 501(c) (3) organization - email buildadreammexico@gmail.com or ask me to introduce you to Wayne or come on Sunday and talk to him after worship or after the Sunday School class now meeting in our chapel.  Remembering Wayne's love for Jesus compelling him to love like Jesus at the genesis of this ministry, you can also check out Build a Dream: El Vaquero

We are encouraging our revived and reinforced remnant to invite, welcome, include, and love like Jesus with grace, love, mercy, and forgiveness.

We don't want you to miss out on what God does supernaturally among women and men of authentic faith in Jesus by the book as enlightened by the Holy Spirit who never contradicts Jesus by the book.

Our highest goal, greatest ambition, and most fervent prayer is to know Father God, Savior Jesus, and Holy Spirit and make Him known.

You are invited and will be welcomed, included, and loved for Christ's sake alone.

 Please share this good news!!!

Blessings & Love!
